Post Blackout Campaign: checking an installation after the power outage

Assessment of an installation after the power outage

The recent electricity blackout in the Iberian Peninsula has shown that many critical installations were not correctly dimensioned or adapted to current needs. In sectors such as hospitals, we have detected that some key areas – such as lifts, laboratories or auxiliary systems – are not included in the energy back-up systems, despite their importance.

At Inpro, together with our partners, we are launching this campaign with a clear objective: to evaluate, diagnose and propose improvements to ensure that the facilities are prepared for any energy emergency.

Our proposal includes a complete service divided into five key steps, aimed at ensuring the reliability, efficiency and technical adequacy of the transfer and emergency power supply system.

FIRST TECHNICAL VISIT

1. Review of the installation:

  • Technical visit lasting approximately 2.5 hours.

  • Visual and functional check of the emergency power supply system.

  • Assessment of tanks, fuel transfer systems, preventive filtering systems, sensors, control systems, etc.

  • If more time is required, please ask for a quotation.

TECHNICAL EVALUATION

2. Evaluation of the dimensioning of the installation:

  • We verify whether the current system covers the actual loads of the critical installation.

  • Analysis of generating sets, fuel volume and real autonomy.

  • Coverage check of all critical elements: lifts, electric doors, operating theatres in case of hospitals, data centres, etc.

  • We identify potential weaknesses or risks due to lack of capacity.

STATUS REPORT

3. Technical report and diagnosis:

Delivery of a detailed report with:

  • General condition of the installation.

  • Possible incidents or non-conformities.

  • Photographs, technical observations and level of risk.

  • Useful document for both technical management and maintenance or management.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT AND RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS

4. Recommendations and recommended new products:

  • Analysis of which points need to be updated, expanded or corrected.

  • Proposal of technical solutions adapted to current real needs.

  • Recommendations for improvement based on regulations, safety and energy efficiency.

  • Prioritisation of interventions according to criticality and budget.

INDIVIDUAL OFFER

5. Economic offer with our partner (installer or maintainer):

  • If interested, a technical and economic proposal will be drawn up jointly with the authorised installer or maintainer.

  • Inpro acts as a technical advisor: we do not execute directly.

  • The partner is responsible for the implementation and follow-up of the agreed actions.

  • If necessary, support is provided in the commissioning and configuration of new equipment.
